Common Questions
Quick answers to the things people ask us most.
Do you come out for emergencies at night or on weekends?
Yes. If a tree falls on your house, lands on your car, or blocks your road, call us right away — day or night, weekends and holidays included. We cover Arkadelphia and everywhere within 40 miles.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry full liability insurance and workers' comp. That means if anything happens to your property or one of our guys gets hurt on the job, it's covered. We're happy to show you proof before we start.
Do you clean up when you're done?
Every time. We chip up the small stuff, haul off the big logs, and rake your yard before we leave. We don't consider the job done until your property looks clean.
How much does it cost to take down a tree?
It depends on the size of the tree, where it's at, and what equipment we need. A small tree in an open yard costs less than a big oak hanging over your house. We give free estimates — we'll come look at it and give you an exact price in writing before we do anything.
How soon can you come give me an estimate?
Usually within a day or two. If it's an emergency and a tree is threatening your home, we come out right away.
When is the best time of year to take down a tree?
Winter is great because the leaves are gone and the ground is firm, which makes it easier for our trucks. But if a tree is dead or dangerous, don't wait — call us any time of year and we'll take care of it.
Can you take down a tree that's near power lines?
Yes. We use bucket trucks and ropes to take trees apart piece by piece when they're close to power lines. If the tree is touching the wires, we work with the power company to shut things off first so everyone stays safe.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Arkadelphia?
Usually no, not on your own property. But if the tree is near a public road or in a special zone, the city might need to know. We can help you figure that out when we come for your estimate.
What's the difference between trimming and removal?
Trimming means we cut back branches to keep the tree healthy and away from your house or power lines. The tree stays. Removal means the whole tree comes down. We do both, and we'll tell you which one your tree actually needs.
How long does it take to remove a tree?
Most trees take somewhere between 2 and 6 hours. A big hardwood close to a house might take a full day because we have to take it apart in sections. We'll give you a time estimate when we come look at the job.
